Paulie is one of the foreman of Galley-La Company in Water 7. His specialty is rigging, conclusions and masts. He was later appointed as vice president of Galley-La Company.
Appearance
Paulie is an average man with dark brown skin and a pretty muscular body. Her long, shoulder-length blonde hair was combed back and wore a strappy orange gogles that wrapped around her forehead. He wore a large "1" blue open zipper jacket on his back, a yellow shirt with a large white circle inside and loose blue trousers tucked in boots. He also carried a small bag attached to the belt on his waist. He seemed to almost always smoke a cigar and had many cigars neatly arranged in front of his jacket. After the Enies Lobby incident, he replaced his jacket with black decorated with rose and chain motifs.
Two years later, he was seen wearing a jacket with a cloud pattern shirt and wearing a tie that was loosened. He still had his typical glasses and smoked cigars. He also carried a hammer and a small bag attached to his belt. When he was a child, Paulie seemed to have worn his typical glasses as when attending the opening of the "Puffing Tom" sea train.
Personality
Paulie seemed to be the closest and most trusted person to Iceburg. He, like Iceburg, was highly respected and respected by the residents of Water 7. Paulie also showed a polite view of how women dress in the streets. Sometimes he often overreacts when he finds women dressed openly in public places; examples for Nami and Kalifa.
Relationship
Paulie was very respectful and cared for his mentor Iceburg. He along with Peeply Luludan Tilestone secretly followed the Straw Hat Crew to Enies Lobby to get revenge. He, Luffy and Zambai then agreed to form an affiliate against the CP9.
Ability
Paulie is a highly skilled shipbuilder. He seemed to be very trusted and became Iceburg's right hand. He also helped Franky and Iceburg in making the Thousand Sunny ship with Peepley Lulu and Tilestone. Two years later, he and his colleagues succeeded in creating a new sea train "Puffing Ice".
Like other Galley-La foremen, he is a strong fighter and has strong physical endurance. He proved to be several times stronger than ordinary humans; like when defeating some members of the Franky Family alone and being able to corner Luffy and Franky with other foremen. While at Enies Lobby, he also defeated many guards. He was also able to pull a giant Kashi to the ground with his rope and hold Houbantai to let the Straw Hat Crew go against CP9. Besides that, his physique was very tough because he had been badly injured by CP9 and was still able to fight to help the straw hat crew go to Enies Lobby.
Paulie's fighting style is very unique. He used a lot of ropes when fighting that slid from behind his sleeve. Paulie was very good at using it. The rope is used to ensnare the enemy, and throw them back to the ground. Sometimes the rope is tied to many knives for deadly attacks, like when he attacked Lucci in Iceburg's office. The length of the rope is also useful allowing it to increase the range of the attack.
The amount of rope stored seems implausible, which makes some fans speculate that it is a Devil Fruit power. He was proven to be able to launch hundreds or even thousands of meters of rope; like when making a big complicated conclusion that can even accommodate two super big giants, Oimo and Kashi, two big Kingbulls, the entire Franky Family and their own. Paulie can also use the string outside the fight. He managed to save Luffy, Zoro, Nami and Chopper on time from the sweeping waves of Aqua Laguna. He also proved successful in deceiving the Navy by binding himself.
History
Past
Young Paulie was seen attending the opening of the Tom Puffing sea train. He looks very enthusiastic. Inspired by this event, Paulie decided to become a shipbuilder and managed to become one of the main foremen at Galley-La Company.
